Why did we launch Notch & Grain? As lifelong woodworkers and model builders, we grew tired of internet tutorials filled with shortcuts that ruined good timber. Generic websites recommended arbitrary measurements without testing whether a joint could actually support everyday weight.
We decided to run an independent studio where every blueprint is built by hand from Baltic Birch Plywood, Vegetable-Tanned Leather, and Solid Brass Stock. We make the cuts, record real drying times, and verify every dimension before our editors approve a single sentence.
We believe readers deserve honest craft journalism without sponsored tool bias. Our print guides are produced in limited batches on durable paper stock and dispatched directly to makers with cash on delivery and bank transfer options.
